A critter common in the Southwest and on TCU’s campus, the horned frog first appeared on the cover of the school yearbook in 1897. The football team quickly adopted it as their mascot, and the name stuck. One of the most unique cheers in college sports came around just a few decades later and its words still ring out on campus today: Riff, Ram, Bah Zoo!
